Third Pillar Solar is seeking a Project Development Manager to join our growing team and manage the development of Third Pillar Solar’s Distributed Generation (DG) projects in the U.S. This role reports to the CEO and is part of Third Pillar’s Development group.
Establish and maintain relationships with landowners, off-takers, and community members
Advance the development of assigned projects to construction ready status
Manage internal and external resources to achieve site control, permitting, interconnection, and financing, with accountability for budget and schedule
Collaborate with Technical and Finance leads to design floating solar solutions that maximize returns given commercial strategy/use cases, performance requirements, and site constraints
Create and maintain project maps, databases and tracking tools for assigned projects
Perform regional market and competitive analysis as requested
Support commercial and power marketing efforts for assigned projects
Support due diligence on project acquisition opportunities as requested
Requirements
Keen, demonstrated interest in the renewable energy – water nexus
Ability to work in a project-driven environment with tight deadlines and concurrent deliverables
Ability to effectively manage contractors and consultants to achieve deadlines on budget
Ability to travel 50% to project sites as required
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree a plus
Experience evaluating DG programs and regulatory environments in states/markets across the US to inform FPV DG development strategies
Demonstrated 3-5 years success developing renewable energy projects, with a minimum of one year of DG energy project development experience
